Warringah Printmakers Studio is a community based, not-for-profit organisation entirely run by volunteers. Safer printmaking practice is promoted & members have access a variety of exciting, innovative projects.

The studio is located within the Manly Vale Community Centre complex on the corner of Condamine & Lovett Streets, MANLY VALE. The entry is on Condamine Street.

Studio Membership

All users of the studio space & facilities are required to join as either full, full/concession or associate members. Membership renewals are due each January.

Full Membership is $70.00 per annum.
Benefits:

  • Participation in classes, workshops, lectures and demonstrations.
  • Newsletters & exhibition invitations.
  • Consideration for exhibitions & projects organised by the Studio.
  • Eligbility to become an access member (see Conditions of Access).
  • Voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.
  • Eligibility for nomination to the Management Committee.

Full/Concession is $50.00 per annum.

  • All the benefits of full membership.

Please note:The concession is intended for high school students, the unemployed & health card holders. Sorry, but Senior’s Cards are not accepted.

Associate is $30.00 per annum.
Benefits:

  • Participation in classes and workshops.
  • Newsletters & exhibition invitations.

Studio Access

Full members with a good knowledge of printmaking techniques, the competence to work by themselves and a proven familiarity with the printmaking equipment & studio safety procedures, are eligible to access the Studio facilities. An orientation session is required for all members before they are eligible for access as well as two or three sessions of working with an experienced Studio member. A Studio Orientation is free but all subsequent supervised access is charged at the normal rate.

Please note the following conditions:

  • The studio space & facilities are shared.
  • Studio volunteers are not able to cater to artists who wish to use the print facilities intensively in a one-off situation.
  • Studio volunteers donate their time doing Orientations and supervised access for the good of the Studio's long term full members, however, consideration is given to the application of experienced printmakers.
  • All studio users are required to abide by the guidelines of use as set by the Management Committee. Please read the Studio access policy & guidelines for users.
  • Access is available at times when the Studio is not used for classes including weekends & term breaks.
  • Bookings for access are essential & must be made with the Studio’s Booking Coordinator. Contact details are given during an Orientation.
  • The access fee includes use of the presses, etchants, spray paint for aquatints, grounds, rollers & some consumables (cleaners, rags, tissue etc). The fee does not include papers or inks which are to be supplied by the member accessing the Studio.

Casual Rate
$10.00 per person per hour.

Commercial Rate
Members editioning for other artists must pay the commercial rate of $14.00 per hour.

Pre Paid Rate - conditions apply
Discounts are available if access time is paid for in advance for a regular time slot each week. Users must be prepared to let Studio events such as workshops & exhibitions take precedence. There is no refund for hours not used within the time frame.

Quarterly - $340.00
(maximum usage of 60 hours over a period of 13 weeks.)
Half Yearly - $600.00
(maximum usage of 120 hours over a period of over 26 weeks).
Yearly - $1030.00
(maximum usage of 240 hours over a period of over 52 weeks).
