Artist Statement

My current obsession is linocut as I love the physicality of carving and the repetitive strokes give me quite a meditative feeling. Working in relief is interesting to me as the resulting image is all about what's left behind. The process is all made by hand - hand drawn, hand carved, hand inked and hand pulled.

These works celebrates my love of colour, nature and bold, striking shapes.

Bio

Inspired by the environment I have experimented with several modern printmaking processes during many years attending classes at Warringah Printmakers Studio. My preferred techniques are linocut, drypoint etching, photopolymer, and collagraph – often layering different plates and including chine colle, and hand colouring into my creative process.
