Ocean Swimmer

I am drawn to landscapes and seascapes, and especially to places where I swim. In addition to printmaking, I enjoy photography and my work is often based on a photographic image which I extensively alter digitally to convey a particular mood, which, for me is better realised through the medium of printmaking rather than photography. This newly created image is printed onto a transparency to which I add hand drawn elements, then develop as a photopolymer plate which is hand inked and manually printed with an etching press.
