Discover the diverse techniques of printmaking

If you’ve ever wondered what the art form of printmaking is all about, this is a great opportunity to observe and talk to the artists, and find out about the diverse techniques that can be used to make an original print - woodblock, linocut, etching, collagraph and photopolymer methods will all be on display. If you are interested in finding out about their regular classes, masterclasses and exhibition opportunities, there will also be information about these.

Warringah Printmakers Studio is holding an in-studio exhibition of a range of traditional print process works on paper including intaglio, relief and monotypes by studio members from the Northern Beaches and Beyond. The exhibition will be accompanied by print making demonstrations.

Demonstrations each day

Everyday, print makers will be variously working on plates, using the printing presses to make hand pulled prints, carving lino or woodblocks, safe etching copper plates, developing images for photopolymer plates or painting monoplates. Come and see a working print studio and the processes involved in these technically rich and traditional artforms.
