Join us for an evening of drawing and printmaking every Monday night. With still life objects set up in the studio we will focus on observational drawing, developing compositions into drawings and prints. Each week we will work on different drawing approaches, suitable for beginners as well as experienced artists, exploring line, tone and composition and more. Every third class will use the printmaking facilities in our studio. In term 2, we shall create etchings using copper or aluminium plate with mark making relating back to your still life drawings. This term will study ‘The Object, the Table and The Still Life’, working directly from compositions of objects set up in the studio, and we will look at both contemporary and traditional approaches to drawing and printmaking.

A materials list will be sent out before term and there is a small fee for printing plate.
